Job Description:

Air Liquide Research and Development is seeking a Research Associate or Research Scientist. The individual will perform (but not be limited to) the following responsibilities:

The individual filling this position will be responsible for projects involving the analysis and purification of gases to electronics grade
Serve as safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness and continuous improvement in safety practices
Achieve and coordinate research project objectives and deliverables in timely manner
Provide technical leadership and lead projects
Promote innovative development of intellectual property
Prepare presentation material for internal and external meetings and conferences
Interact with customers to promote research activities

General Requirements:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, preferably with experience in gas analysis and handling.
Strong knowledge of chemical engineering unit operations and separations processes; experience with HYSYS or Aspen Plus is preferred
Experience with several analytical techniques is required such as GC, GC/MS, FT-IR, moisture analysis and related techniques
Experience designing and working with pilot plants is preferred
Collaborative mindset, ability to build alliances, persuade others and network internally and externally
Ability to influence peers through scientific leadership
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience working on interdisciplinary topics and with strong ability to interact efficiently in an international environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-starter; able to work independently and make difficult decisions
Results driven; determined and able to deliver despite challenging obstacles
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple task
Ability to be flexible and adapt to frequently changing conditions/priorities
Ability to take calculated risks
