JOB TITLE: Mainframe COBOL Programmer Analyst

PAY RANGE: Depends on Experience JOB DESCRIPTION: Mainframe COBOL Programmer Analyst w/ Project Management experience

Contract to start about 7/21/2011 thru 4/30/2012 in Wilmington, DE.

Ability to work in a fast paced team environment to integrate, maintain, document and support mainframe vendor software for Trust applications.

Knowledge of Trust business is a plus.

Strong COBOL development skills required; must have experience working with CICS and IMS.

Able to work independently; as well as under the direct guidance of a project manager and analysts.

Must be able to adapt to changing environments, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with team members and business users.

Will be required to perform extensive analysis, design, development, integration, and testing functions with strict deadlines.

Effectively support multiple complex applications, some internally developed and some vendor software.

Familiar with developing test plans and scripts, working directly with business users to define requirements and resolve issues.

Must be able to quickly assess situations and formulate one or more solutions.

Requirements

* The position will work directly with management, project manager and technical leads to develop interfaces for a large conversion project.
* Candidate should possess strong logic skills, ability to work independently, strong time management skills.
* Candidate should also be able to perform basic project management functions for status reporting, time tracking, issue and risk identification and mitigation.
* Strong skills in obtaining and documenting user requirements related to data mapping and integration.
* Bachelor?s degree (Information Systems or Business Administration preferred) or equivalent training or work experience
* 5+ years of COBOL application programming experience
* Extensive knowledge of CICS and/or IMS programming required
* Excellent oral and written communications skills
* Very Good MS Office skills (Word, Excel, MS Project, VISIO).
* Demonstrated ability and experience partnering with software Architects, Systems Analysts and Developers on complex projects.
* Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and to work independently.
* Experience through the full software development lifecycle from design, development and testing to production implementation.
* Plans and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones.
* Writes and maintains technical and project documentation.
* Strong collaboration & facilitation skills required.
* Strong problem solving skills is a must
* Must be detail oriented, organized, able to learn quickly, able to multi-task and contribute in a team environment
* TSO/ISPF, XPEDITER, SYNCSORT, JCL, VSAM, COBOL, XPEDITER, FILE-AID, IMSDB/DC
