The Machine Operator located in Newark, DE supporting 3M Aearo Technologies, LLC division will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

* Perform routine die cutting, laminating, spray, pack and sort operations following established manufacturing and quality procedures.
* Must be able to perform set up and operation of all die cutting equipment.
* Work from written and verbal instructions to produce customer parts following shop order and working file.
* Note all discrepancies to job order.
* Bring discrepancies immediately to the attention of supervisor.
* Collect and work from pick tickets and drawings.
* Check pick tickets, print and dies to ensure part numbers, revision level, tolerance and material used for accuracy.
* Perform in-process quality check of parts against print.
* Laminate by hand.
* Assembly material with proper adhesive in accordance with specification.
* Operate manual and automatic punch presses, assemble and material handling equipment.
* Package and affix labels and tags according to shop ticket and /or drawing.
* Use a variety of general precision measuring and cutting equipment.
* Apply the edge sealant to all open celled areas as per specifications.
* Maintain necessary records.
* Move and lift materials as necessary in the performance of duties or as directed.
* Report equipment malfunctions or any unusual conditions to Supervisor.

** Qualified applicants will be required to take and pass 3M testing as a part of the selection process.

**This position requires working either a fixed 1st or 2nd shift (depending on the opening available), varying shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Qualifications

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Degree or GED
* Less than one year of manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1 year of manufacturing experience
* Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple tasks
* Demonstrated effective cross-functional team work among internal businesses
